Working together

Care that is collaborative, respectful and tailored to you

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), registration no. 21894 with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and I practise under clinical supervision. I work collaboratively with clients toward greater understanding, healing, resilience, stronger relationships, and meaningful change.

Whether you come individually, with your partner, or as a family, therapy is tailored to your unique needs, strengths, experiences, values, culture, relationships, and goals.

How it works

What to expect, step by step

My approach is integrative, person-centred, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive. Depending on your needs and goals, I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment-based approaches, mindfulness, and relational and systemic approaches.

  1. Before we meet

After booking, you receive a short intake form and the consent-to-treatment document to read at your own pace.

  2. The first session

We talk about what brings you to therapy, your history and what you hope will change. There is no need to prepare anything.

  3. Setting direction

Together we agree on initial goals, how often to meet, and how we will know things are moving.

  4. Ongoing work

Most people meet weekly or every two weeks at first. We review progress regularly and adjust as needed.

The growing plant

Meaningful change grows gradually

Like a growing plant that needs care, nourishment, and time, meaningful change often develops gradually. The growing plant at the heart of Ditekemena reflects this therapeutic journey.

  • Roots

Grounding and resilience: the steadiness you already carry, and the foundations we strengthen together.

  • Leaves

Growth and new possibilities: new ways of coping, relating and moving forward.

  • Water

Care and support: the attention and nourishment that help change take root.

This is the spirit behind Ditekemena: creating a therapeutic space where hope can be cultivated, strengths can be rediscovered, and healthier relationships can grow.
